Thursday, Feb 19 2009, 6-8 pm:: Wyndham House, Bryn Mawr College. Long time CCW member Christy Silva will give a brief presentation on the different ways in which people (including adolescents) learn/process information as related to cognitive/executive functioning, using a 'game' to help us think more about our strengths and how to use these strengths to build on weaknesses. Informal. Mingle and chat with new and old business acquaintances. Bring a bottle of your favourite wine. Appetizers provided. Cost to attend is $10. Please make your cheque payable to WCU Foundation: MM Power Scholarship Fund.
Thursday, March 5 2009, 'Meet & Greet', 6 pm onwards:Ghost Stories by the Fireside. Red Rose Inn, Jennersville, PA. Open to the public. 6 pm onwards. Bring at least $10 pp to defray the cost of appetizers and business cards. Beverages not included. Rtes 796 and 1. We are sorry to see that the Red Rose Inn closed down a couple of months after this meeting due to lack of public support of the restaurant/bar.
Wednesday, March 25th 2009: CCW is a supporting organisation of the Professional Women's SuperNetworking Event 6 pm at the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia. Cost is $35.
Thursday, April 16 2009, 6-8 pm:Taxes are Done! Come have some fun!!... A multifaceted networking event: We will be eating, painting *yes, finding your inner artistic flair!*, checking out local artist's work, socializing and book signing by Linda Jassmond of her first book Journey to Fitness: Chronicles of a Working Woman. Limited to the first 50 RSVPs. Location: Chester County Art Association, Exton Square Mall (next to Boscov's on the lower level). Cost of meeting is $10 and includes painting class and appetizers. Donation to the CCAA of a much needed item (paper, stapler, markers, crayons, etc) will be greatly appreciated.

Usual get to know one another and roundtable discussion based on business goals/goings on in the community and how they are affecting our businesses. Last meeting of 2009: October 14 2009: next CCW meeting will be at the Chester County Art Association in West Chester during the Recycled Art Exhibition. The discussion will be on: REALITY, RECESSION, RECYCLING. Please bring 2 ideas that you have implemented over the past year to cut costs. Sustainability thinking represents a major way that individuals and companies can position themselves to thrive. We will start promptly at 6:30 pm with introductions followed with a discussion on how the Recession has helped awareness on trimming 'fluff' expenses, or how the Recession has improved your business.
Meetings are in the evening over dinner starting at 6:30 pm. If you're late you will miss the introductions. Please be respectful of each other's time. Go to Links and Meetings for the 2010 schedule and topics. $10 meeting fee is required for all meetings. Cash preferred.

* The MM Power Scholarship Fund is established through the West Chester University Foundation giving out $1,000 scholarships to women majoring in the sciences or business at WCU. Candidate is selected by the university based on financial need and minimum 2.8 GPA.
